Duolingo, Inc. (NASDAQ: DUOL) is a dominant force in the global mobile language learning market, distinguished by it’s highly effective gamified, freemium business model. The company’s recent Q2 2025 results indicates a business that is both high-growth and increasingly profitable.

Is Duolingo’s growth rate sustainable? Well, while user growth is strong, it’s showing signs of slowing down which concerns investors. Looking at their historical user growth, there are signs of plateauing daily active users (DAUs) between Q1 and Q2 2025. Investors will be looking at Q3 DAU numbers very closely to see any slowdowns.
